  • Pinnacle Award Winner

    The Hotel InterContinental Miami won a Pinnacle Award, which is awarded to the top 250 most prestigious hotels and resorts worldwide, by Successful Meetings Magazine.

  • 2002 Gold List of the World's Best Places to Stay

    The Willard InterContinental in Washington DC was ranked the Number 1 hotel in Washington by Condé Nast Traveller's 2002 Gold List of the World's Best Places to Stay.

  • InterContinental Miami wins the 2002 Planners' Choice Award

    The readers of Meeting News selected the InterContinental Miami for the 2002 Planners' Choice Award.

  • Freddie Awards Winner

    Priority Club® Rewards won coveted honours, by being awarded the Best Hotel Loyalty Programme Web Site (International) at the prestigious 2002 Freddie Awards by the readers of InsideFlyer Magazine.

  • Business Traveller Magazine

    In the October 2002 edition of Business Traveller, the Barclay InterContinental New York was ranked the third Best Business Hotel in North America.

  • BrandWeek Magazine

    In the17 June 2002 edition of BrandWeek, two Six Continents Hotels brands, Holiday Inn and InterContinental, were named “Superbrands” in the travel category. Holiday Inn was ranked number one in overall brand equity, which is a combination of brand quality and brand saliency.

  • Condé Nast Traveler Magazine

    In January 2002, for the third year in a row, the Willard InterContinental hotel received the top rating as the finest of Washington D.C.'s five deluxe hotel properties in the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List, a list for which more than 29,000 magazine subscribers cast votes.
